The Facebook response to my birthday was great! My FunWall has never looked better, but I wish you would’ve come to my party instead.

Honestly, Carlos, I think that virtual copy of the new Steve Martin book was one of the most thoughtful gifts ever, remember when how hard we laughed when we saw "All of Me"?! I hope to get a real copy of that book someday. I'd really like to read it.
The award for Best Glazed Donut Water Globe goes to Jimmy Z, of course! I've never been able to get the Water Globe Application to work, myself, but I have a good imagination. Would've been really nice to see you in person, Jimmy. It's been awhile, and you live, what, 4 subway stops away? Maybe next year, I know we're all busy.
And Markie, thank you so much for the Van Halen Hatching Egg! I laughed so hard when I saw it that I nearly fell out of my seat… into the arms of no one.
Really, guys, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but my girlfriend said that she sent "Shhh… Surprise Party Alert!" notifications to all of you, and none of you showed up. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty awkward sitting at a table set for 20 with just me, her, and my college roommate who only came because I bumped into him on the way to the restaurant.
He's in the CIA or something now, I don't know, I couldn't really listen to him.
I think Melanie was crying over desert.
So maybe next year, you guys can just come to my party so we can actually see each other? Hey, it was nice to hear from you all anyway!
You're the best 62 friends a guy could ever ask for.

Yeah, this is what it's come down to, eh? Go out and visit someone. The digital world gets a little...sterile.

I think I hosted a few parties like that.

Melanie was busy weeping while hang-gliding over the Sahara, so I'd say she had a good excuse.
