Highlights from Dane Cook's Career

Dane Cook, America’s favorite comic, has had a long and sexy career with no signs of stopping.  Because he’s so funny, it seems imperative that we “highlight” his greatest attribute as a comedian—his highlights.

This is classic Dane, always the joker (note the card he’s holding), and always keeping his highlights looking natural and crisp.  This particular “golden boy” look is a fan favorite and makes his jokes 10% funnier and 20% funnier if he’s wearing a tank top.

This is just Dane, hangin’ out.  He’s pretty much in his natural state here, leaning against a wall, always ready to unleash a humorous anecdote about “etch-a-sketch."  However, note the highlights -- classic blond with a tinge of almost burgundy or merlot.  Certainly daring, which is no surprise.  Also, for you linguists out there, his shirt is in Spanish and roughly translates to “the douche."

This is Dane on tour, a workingman’s Dane if you will.  His highlights here are a little more subdued, blue-collar, and quite reminiscent of classic comedians such as Buster Keaton and Fatty Arbuckle (both of which had almost no highlights).  Dane is also showing how funny hands can be, especially if you put them in different positions.

This is an action shot of “Performance Dane”, arguably the most dynamic of all the Danes.  This means, of course, that Dane is bringing the heat with his highlights, because, as the old Vaudevillian saying goes, ”…if the highlights don’t shine, the jokes fall flat.”  His slightly frosted tips and mousse-job are an indication of his dedication to the comedy game; he must have spent at least two hours at the Hair Cuttery, all for the fans.  Yet, Dane shows signs of evolution as he transforms to “ironic” comedian.  The proof lies in the highlights, as he "ironically" opts for frosted tips to clash with his fiery, hot personality.

You know what, I just tried to do Dane's funny hand symbol, and I realized that I couldn't do it. It's not the traditional "shocker" if you will -- it requires real skill to put that pinky down but keep the ring finger up. Seriously, that is talent
