I love that Jay more simply says something, and still puts it eloquently, yet still slightly minced. You go to a gun store to get "ammo and guns," and you'll die at the front steps from all the people in there that want to keep their "ammo and guns." and I love people quoting some zombie survival guide? who gives a sh*t what that author said. who is he/she? i make my own way. i don't really get the door thing. what door are you opening with a crowbar, that i can't get open with my foot? if im locked in a room with zombies, im killing them all with my katana. alright, not completely true. but my choice of katana was to answer Greg's ridiculous claim that a machete would be the best thing to kill zombie's with. you kill zombie's with a katana. you open doors with crowbars, and i think im more worried about killing zombies than i am opening doors.

About the .22, you could just get a suppressor for the assault rifle. Also, .22 doesn't do enough collateral damage, meaning it won't bring a zombie down, and it won't penetrate into the next zombie either. Now, I'm not saying you should just grab the biggest gun in the store, i.e. a .50 bmg, but maybe an AR/M16, or even the AK (there should be ammo everywhere for that). On a lighter note, I would definitely take Zombie Survival class.

More simply said: The only time you are going to loot a gun store is when things have gotten so bad that moving freely is impractical. Any time before that, and you are going to learn an important apocalypse lesson. That the second worst thing about any apocalypse are the people.
