BLK20 goes inside the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, TX. In part 1 we meet up with The Gay Blades to witness the chaos of downtown 6th St. and get a taste for playing a show at the largest independent music festival in the country.

I drove over 1,700 miles from NYC to Austin. Upon arriving, I was immediately introduced to 6th St. Everyone I spoke to compared it to Mardi Gras in some fashion, which means it was full of obnoxious drunks. Despite also being obnoxious drunks, The Gay Blades and I decided to make sport out of the whole mess. Much of what occurred was unpleasant and unseemly, of which a small portion can be seen in the above video.
